Fun first. The gamer is the client. Place is the material — people, culture, and the physical world under the digital one.
Fortnite ecosystem: best-in-class tooling, one source of creation, every platform — mobile, Switch, PlayStation, Xbox, PC — into an audience already there.

Original Films · Hybrid Pipelines
Filmmaking craft, generative tools. The tools changed; framing, timing and performance did not.
Shorts — Swiss legend, folklore and tradition. With Filmic — long-form narrative and documentary. We build the pipeline and train the team on it.
Artificial intelligence paired with human intelligence
The workflow — nodes, connections, branches, the grammar that outlives whatever tool taught it to you.
And what to point it at. Why a frame lands, why a cut works, why an audience feels something. AI opens doors that were shut a few months ago, and that's the easy half. The machine executes. It doesn't know what's worth making.
Open to the public — pick the session that fits, or take several. Looking for something private? Choose a format below.
All public sessions: Atelier Vertical Lab, Martigny (VS) · 6 seats · CHF 120 per person.
Chain prompt nodes into a visual pipeline instead of firing single prompts into the dark. Build a non-linear workflow of your own, and learn to read any node graph you meet later.
You leave with a working project and a reusable setup.

Written brief to finished cover layouts on one canvas — concept, copy and visuals staying connected the whole way, so the design holds an idea instead of assembling one.
You leave with finished layouts from your own brief, and a setup you can re-run on the next one.

Take a character from pose and appearance through to a finished animated shot. Consistency across outputs is the mechanic; a shot that reads is the point.
You leave with a finished shot featuring a character you built, and a setup that makes more of them.

Your team, your problem, your room.
Half day CHF 800 · Full day CHF 1600 · One to one CHF 200/hour, or CHF 500 the half day. Flat rate per session, not per participant.
Half a day, about 3h15. Ninety minutes taught, a break, ninety minutes building it yourself with us in the room. The second half is the half that sticks.
Six people maximum. On-site at your company, school or institution, or at our atelier in Martigny, Valais.
Assumed: hands-on experience with standard creative tools — Adobe, Affinity, basic editing. Generative tools complement a creative foundation; they don't replace one.
Bring a laptop. We bring the coffee.
We teach the workflow, not the software — but we start in FLORA, because this is who's already working in it.

Vertical Lab is a creative R&D studio in Valais, Switzerland, founded by Dimitri Reuse.
Swiss-born, Dimitri spent 30 years in the United States as a creative and technical direction consultant across digital and physical media — AKQA, Instrument, DotDotDash, Intel, Nike, the NBA — before bringing the practice home to Valais. He trained first as an interior designer, LEED Accredited Professional. Space is a character: silent, and never neutral. Along the way: co-designer of the world's first transparent collapsible kayak, now in MoMA's permanent collection; AR and VR at Sundance New Frontier; 3D-printed prosthetics for dance.
He works embedded with teams as a technical and creative direction consultant, and is Head AI Director at Filmic, a local production house founded by Michaël Rouzeau. The two work in tandem: Filmic produces, the Lab researches the pipeline.
The Lab also produces and publishes its own games in Fortnite, sprinkled with Swiss culture.
Curious for a living. The research continues through the Lab, and gets shared — to inspire the next generation of creatives.
Available for embedded creative and technical direction.
Let's meet for coffee. Or a bowl of mushroom soup, thyme and rosemary.
